Having a full head of hair means that I don't have to shave it every day just to look cool.
Nicky HaydenRepair "Pluggy" hair-transplants
If you had previous hair restoration surgery using the old plug method, or if you have scarring from surgery or trauma that is disfiguring, the new hair-transplantation techniques using the mini and micro-grafts can often disguise or completely hide this disfigurement. We practice up-to-date hair restoration surgeries which create a virtually undetectable and natural result for any patient. The older techniques such as plugs or mini-grafts can cause abnormal results, but now our repair procedures can revise the 'odd' appearance and create new and refined look. We only have one goal: to create a natural looking head of hair. Any irregularities can easily be repaired, using the following hair replacement treatments:
Scalp scar repair, either from scalp reduction, cranial surgeries or a donor graft.
Scars from any scalp procedure relating to complications such as [but not restricted to] scalp reduction, old plug surgery, trauma or neurosurgical procedures are easily filled by transplanting new follicular units directly into the scars. It is recommended that patients have more than one hair transplant procedure in order to increase their hair density, to fill out the scar area and to minimize the distinguishable contrast between the scar and the bushy area of the scalp which covers the area of the scar.
Repairing large areas covered in hair grafts or plugs.
Aging plugs or old grafts are easily concealed by merely removing them and creating a natural appearance using new follicular grafts. In one or two sessions, the 'pluggy' look can be totally eliminated. Luckily, your old follicles can be recycled in a sense and transplanted back into the new graft. If more follicles are needed, they can be collected from the back of the scalp.
Repair of abnormal hairline.
What is an abnormal hairline? This is either due to a 'pluggy' look of the hairline or designing problems, often caused by an inexperienced hair restoration surgeon. Usually, the hairline is uneven with a transitional appearance in front and a thickly packed area in the rear of the scalp. The direction of a normal hairline is normally so unequal that you would not be able to draw a straight line from one end to another. By implementing a series of refined follicle grafts, a natural and undetectable result can be achieved once more.
Mending atypical hair direction.
One of the best parts of having a new head of hair is combing and styling it. But if the hair is growing in strange directions due to an irregular hair loss treatment, then it is time for the surgeon to step in and control the direction and distribution of the hair. Again, new hair grafts will be used. However, this was not the case with older hair replacement treatments, which used large grafts. In this case, the surgeon will remove individual grafts and place them in ways that are naturally orientated with the hair direction.
Our hair restoration surgeons are here to help correct and repair the old hair transplants surgeries which were deemed undesirable by the unhappy client. Our updated hair replacement treatments will restore any individual's hair to a natural and normal appearance.
