Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed that his hair transplants assisted in relieving a lot of his stress.
The England forward endured a horrid time last season. He was all over the tabloids with scandals involving his personal life, as well as the sports pages after saying he wanted to leave the Premier League champions.
In between that he went to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup where he failed to score a goal and lashed out at the English fans.
Adding to that, his hairline took a sudden turn for the worse and by the end of it he looked like a different person - lacking in confidence on and off the pitch.
Since then, he signed a new contract with Manchester United, saying it was the "best decision" he has made. He also admitted that his hair loss was stressful.
"I've spent more time in the mirror. I'm sure some of you who are going bald, it's a bit stressful. So I made a decision to get it done. I thought, why not?" he said.
The hair transplant procedure he underwent was a visible success, but the boost in his confidence has also been there for all to see. The striker has returned to top form on the pitch, with an extremely bright start to the season - including scoring a hat-trick against Arsenal.
